Homecoming! I'm so proud! We've made it and got exciting news. This benifits me and my sponsor, because we got more land for France. I was welcomed as a new hero for claiming land in Detroit for France. I had a fantastic time!
This is the 7th week of my journey. We discovered natives while we claimed land in Detroit. They've exchanged goods with us and treated us well. They exchanged wood, food and much more. In exchange we gave them medicine and fur. We're so grateful.
Land ho! Yeah! Were here! I'm so excited. We landed today and now my group and I are going to claim land for houses. We hope will will find natives and become allies. My sailors and I wish my two men who died on the journey were here to see. Luckily my family is coming soon. We better get started on the search for land.
Today is the third week of my journey. I am very nervous and excited. I am also missing my family very much. My sailors and I are very fortunate. We have had no diseases such as scurvy, and we are not suffering from starvation. Lately, we did have some really big waves and wind. I hope I can stay strong during this nerve-racking expedition.
Today, I, Antoine De La Mothe Cadillac, will lead my crew to Detroit River. Here we go! Toot! Toot! I'm off. During this journey I will have many duties, so I better get started.
